New: AI passthrough!

This amazing Deo feature uses the power of AI to turn every VR scene into AR passthrough! Now you can take characters out of VR and have them right there with you - as if they were in the same room.

Notice: AI Passthrough is presently in beta mode, and as such, users may encounter occasional service imperfections. The feature is currently exclusive to the DeoVR app, but it will soon be accessible on both browsers and mobile devices. Your feedback is highly encouraged and appreciated.

Recommended headsets:

Meta Quest 3, and Quest Pro with stereoscopic color passthrough, Pico 4 (monoscopic color passthrough).

Compatible headsets:

Quest 2, Valve Index (monoscopic black and white passthrough).

Passthrough is not compatible yet for Oculus Link cable.

I converted stereoscopic M.C. Escher illustrations from a 2005 hardback book into a full side-by-side 3D experience you can watch in a Meta Quest headset.

The images in this video come from Masterpieces in 3-D: M.C. Escher and the Art of Illusion by Katherine Gleason, a 2005 hardback book that used early stereoscopic conversion software to turn 40 of Escher's impossible, mathematically sound landscapes into 3D pairs, viewable through a cardboard viewer folded into the book's cover. 21 years later, that same source material holds up remarkably well when reprocessed for a modern VR headset.

Workflow used in this conversion:
• Source: scanned stereoscopic pairs from the Gleason hardback (2005)
• Editing/formatting: Movavi (crop, align, correct scan distortion, package into SBS)
• Output format: Side-by-side 3D for Meta Quest playback
• Promo: Use code MINDEYEMEDIA for 15% off annual Movavi subscriptions — valid through August 15th

If you're into Escher, stereoscopic art, or budget VR conversion workflows, this is a good look at how far affordable, off-the-shelf tools have come since 2005. Like and subscribe for more 3D VR content, and drop a comment if you want a full walkthrough of the Movavi settings I used.
