My First Blender VR180 SBS Video — Congrats! 🎉

I finally did it.
I successfully rendered a VR180 stereoscopic SBS video in Blender, and more importantly, I finally understand how the whole setup works.

I’m sure I’ll look back at this video someday and think, “Wow, that looks terrible.” 😂
But right now, I’m just happy that I can do it.

It reminds me of the first time I saw Virtua Fighter at an arcade. Looking at those low-poly characters, we honestly thought, “This is basically real life!”
Decades later, graphics have evolved beyond anything we could have imagined — and somehow, we’re still saying the same thing:
“It looks almost real.”
I think technology is always like that.
Today’s breakthrough becomes tomorrow’s primitive first step.
So this video is a small record of that moment for me.

Blenderで初めてVR180 SBS動画を書き出せた — Congrats! 🎉

ついにできた。

BlenderからVR180の立体視SBS動画を書き出すことに成功しました。

そして何より、どう設定すればVR180として成立するのか、自分なりに仕組みを理解できた。

たぶん何年か後にこの動画を見たら、

「うわ、ひどい出来だな（笑）」

と思うんだろう。

でも、今はこれができたことが純粋にうれしい。

昔、ゲームセンターで初めて『バーチャファイター』を見たときのことを思い出します。

今見ればローポリゴンの人形なのに、当時は本気で、

「もう実写じゃん！」

なんて言っていました。

それから何十年も経って、CGは信じられないほど進化した。

それでも僕らは今も、

「まるで実写じゃん」

と言っている。

たぶん、技術ってそういうものなんだと思う。

今日の感動は、いつか当たり前になって、振り返れば原始的な最初の一歩に見える。

だからこそ、その最初の一歩を残しておきます。
