The historical market square in Stadthagen, with its magnificent Old Town Hall and beautifully restored half-timbered houses in the Weser Renaissance style, forms the picturesque heart of the town. From this lively center, it is just a short walk to the idyllic palace garden (*Schlossgarten*), which borders the historic Renaissance palace.
